When traveling long term it’s always a good idea to have some kind of fitness routine on hand. So, I put together a work out that can be done in a hotel (or anywhere you’re staying really). The point is, you don’t need to go to a gym.
The first thing you should do is warm up. I like to stretch and do some jumping jacks. Anything that gets your muscles loose and body temperature up is fine.
Now, get into the workout. I’ll list some exercises that you can choose from. I’d pick about 5 different ones, but it all depends on the amount you can do. I would keep this workout at around 20 minutes.
- Push ups
- Sit ups
- 30 second plank
- Mountain Climbers
- Jumping jacks (yes AGAIN)
- Run in place
Now, if you have exercises in mind that involve weights, USE YOUR SUITCASE. Or backpack, or purse, whatever.
After all that working out, I like to do yoga to relax and stretch my muscles. Do anything you want, as long as you keep moving for at least 5 minutes after working out.
