- Cool down. Don’t just stop after your workout. Take a slow walk, stretch your muscles, anything. I prefer doing some yoga and meditation but you can do anything as long as you keep moving for about 10 minutes.
- After you workout, it’s important to eat a lot of carbs. Eat within an hour after working out. Try to eat something healthy instead of loading up on unhealthy carbs. I like to eat an avocado, strawberry, and spinach salad and drink a smoothie after I work out.
- Drink water after your workout! You’re body may be dehydrated and the only solution in my mind is to drink water. Of course, you could drink sports drinks but they have a lot of sugar and you probably didn’t even lose enough electrolytes to need it.
- Remember that what you do after a workout is just as important as what you do during it!
